Many things done by the children when they are together you're cooking in the kitchen, they would fill a pot with water, add sugar, salt, apples, whatever they could find and ask you to cook it on the stove top. They didn't want to follow a recipe. They just wanted to create something using, whatever they could think of.

When they are young they pretend to cook in the kitchen, make mud pies in the sandbox, and what kid hasn't made bubble cakes in the bath tub? Kids do cooking activities all the time! It's going to develop creativity of children, although the results are sometimes inconsistent with what they expect.

Things that might need to do is teach them how to cook the right way, such as by providing a simple recipe, so after school kids can make snacks by themselves. Lots of kids cooking recipes that you can give, like Black Bean Nachos.

It’s easy for kids to make warm, gooey, restaurant-style nachos in just a few minutes in the microwave. Adding extra toppings such as black beans makes nachos not only more nutritious, but also more satiating. Kids will fill up quicker and eat less if the chips are topped with a healthy protein such as black beans.

There are many more recipes that you can teach to your kids, such as Coco-Noodle Doo Soup, Comfort Food Snacks, Hot Spinach Dip, Chicken Quesadilla Pinwheels, Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars, Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies, Smores Cupcakes, etc.

So, you can choose which recipes they love, or which foods are good for their nutrition. Not only make them happy, but you can also help their growth better with better food ingredients. Fun with your kids, and let them help you cook in the kitchen. But remember, always keep watch over them.
